A web application was created to facilitate the connection between humanitarian cash assistance and the Shock Responsive Social Protection System (SRSP) in Saptakoshi Municipality, Saptari, Nepal. The project focuses on a risk informed financing mechanism based on “Piggybacking Shock Responsive Social Protection” to integrate humanitarian cash assistance within the state’s “Social Protection System”. A mobile tool was used to collect data on four dimensions (physical, economic, social, and natural hazards) to assess household vulnerability and the web application generated a household level vulnerability index based on the collected data.
